Whisper welcomes Jonathan Cave

Technology does not exist in isolation. The most impactful security systems are not built solely on technical capability, but on a deep understanding of the economic, regulatory, and human environments they operate within.
That is why we are excited to welcome Dr. Jonathan Cave to the Whisper Advisory Board.
Jonathan brings decades of experience at the intersection of economics, public policy, trust, privacy, and technology. As a former Turing Fellow and long-time senior researcher at the RAND Corporation, his work has consistently explored how complex systems shape society — and how policy, incentives, and governance influence the way technology evolves.
At Whisper, we believe cybersecurity is not just an infrastructure problem. It is also a coordination problem, a trust problem, and increasingly, a societal problem. Understanding internet infrastructure at scale requires more than technical visibility alone. It requires thinking carefully about resilience, incentives, systemic risk, privacy, and the broader impact security technologies have on the ecosystems around them.
Jonathan’s perspective brings exactly that depth.
As we continue building infrastructure intelligence systems designed for defenders, analysts, and AI agents, his guidance will help ensure Whisper evolves not only as a technically powerful platform, but as one that is ethically grounded, economically informed, and aligned with the realities of the world it serves.
Building great technology is one challenge. Building technology that is resilient, responsible, and genuinely useful to society is another entirely.
We are honored to have Jonathan’s voice, insight, and experience helping shape that journey.
Welcome to Whisper, Jonathan.
